Siuyu Children’s Rehabilitation Centre

The Charity of Christ Urges Us On! (2 Cor 5:14)

About

In the rural district of Singida, Tanzania, the Siuyu Children’s Rehabilitation Centre seeks to fulfill Jesus’ Gospel mandate through the caring of disabled children. It provides both physio and occupational therapy services, as well as enables community leaders to be more aware of the rights and place of disabled children in the community.

Spirituality

St. Vincent Pallotti, a Roman priest propelled to the missions, is the Centre’s Patron Saint. Born in 1795, he constantly took Christ to the streets, with a pastoral approach that was dynamic, invigorating, and prophetic. That same spirit is imbued in Siuyu today, where the Pallottine Fathers, Sisters, and Lay Members work together at the service of God’s little ones.

A day in Siuyu!

Director Fr. Tommy, Assistant Director Sr. Rosemary, along with Sisters Anna, EvaMery, and the Centre’s volunteers are with the children around the clock. Discover what a day in Siuyu looks like!
